Coping stone redesign and replacement
NHCC carried out repairs to a multi-million pound terrace of houses with roofing, coping stone and drainage issues in Surrey.
NHCC were appointed by the original developer to investigate and remediate a number of issues relating to high value terraced properties in Weybridge. The remedial scheme involved replacing all eaves-level perimeter coping stones.
All works were carefully completed with all the residents remaining in their homes, which added to the logistical challenges on this small site with limited open space very near to the main road.
The works were completed quickly and efficiently within a tight programme plan to finalise the works before winter set in and to ensure that the scaffolding was removed prior to Christmas.
The defects caused issues with water staining down the face of the brickwork on all properties which could have led to serious water ingress without early intervention.
The works included designing bespoke replacement coping stones with the correct falls and required full access scaffolding to support the full removal and replacement of the coping stones.
The project also included the design and production of bespoke coping stones.
